Having worked with Emma for many months she called and kindly suggested a visit to the clinic to gain some valuable first-hand experience of the services she offers. At first, I have to admit, I was filled with a little angst as whilst I LOVE all things beauty and consider myself to be somewhat of a “bathroom” beauty expert having read/followed way too many blogs, vlogs and communities, I find the thought of visiting an “actual” clinic somewhat daunting. I mean where do you start? I know at 47 my skin is crying out for some much-needed TLC and hence I am a complete sucker the latest skin rejuvenating, plumping and exfoliating product that is “guaranteed” to transform me back to my 20’s but quite frankly, I am all at sea when it comes to clinic led treatments.
And this is before I even consider the time element! I am a busy working Mum so my days are filled with Taxi Service, Homework Buddy Service, Catering Service, Laundry and Cleaning Service etc etc….and that is all before I start on the paid stuff! So, in a nutshell I didn’t really have the time to be spending an hour or so lying on a bed making myself look “glowing”.
But then I got to thinking, what if I did just press pause for an hour and took some time to do something that was completely and utterly just for me – what would be the worst that could happen? So, with this in mind, I graciously accepted the invite and my chemical peel with LED light and Rose Quartz Lymphatic Drainage treatment was booked.
I am terrible at finding new places – whenever I am going somewhere new I worry about a. finding it and b. being able to park when I get there but I needed worry not, the postcode in Google Maps worked perfectly and took me straight there and right outside the front door is a roomy carpark with plenty of reserved spaces for the clinic. Huge tick in the box for me.
Emma greeted me with a warm, welcoming smile and I immediately felt relaxed. I can’t quite put my finger on the magic but Emma has this incredible way of making you feel like you are chatting to a friend rather than the clinical professional that she is and straight away, I felt completely reassured that she had MY best interests at heart. Emma took the time to chat at the start of the appointment to get to understand me and what my skin concerns were so that she could advise and recommend the best possible treatment.
Throughout the treatment Emma kept me updated with what she was doing and the “why” behind it. She constantly checked in on me without unnecessarily interrupting the beautiful calm ambience that she had created in the room. Whilst the LED treatment was on, the room was darkened and I was plunged into a blissful pause where I was able to simply switch off and RELAX. The whole experience was heaven and I left Cheshire Aesthetics with incredibly radiant skin (the effects of which I am still seeing today with colleagues, friends and family asking me what my secret is!) and a sense that I had just had a big hug!
So, to conclude, I am now officially a convert! Going forward, my plan is to visit Emma on a regular basis and pre-schedule in this small window of time in the family calendar to simply and unapologetically take some time for ME.
**The treatment I had is currently on a special offer of £65 (check before booking that prices haven’t changed as this is a special price) – so why not join me!**
